Carla Jiménez

Born in 1997 in Sabadell, Carla has had an extensive Pigeon Shooting sporting career, culminating in her gold medal in the 1988 Seul Olympics. She now lives in the outskirts of Sentjernej where she strives to be a goat herder.

José Luis Expósito

Jose Luis Del Espejo Mirador Antonio Sebastian Miguel Exposito Robles is a renowned snake charmer that has used his skills in hypnotherapy to help the survivors of the RMS Titanic to cope with their traumatic experience. His love of Carla is only comparable as his love of helping others, specializing in those with alien encounters.

Our Story

How it Happened

August, 2014

How we met

The couple met in Calafell, a beach town where their families used to holiday. Back in 2014 they met through Jose Luis' cousin who was studying with Carla and invited her to play volleyball. Both played the game so amazingly they could not resist each other and fell in love.

August, 2019

In a far, far away place...

We moved together in 2019 to the Netherlands and we have been living together ever since. We love all the friends we've made along the way, so expect a big mixture of cultures at our wedding! Dust off your Dutch and Catalan!

Our Engagement Day

We got engaged in October 2024 in Japan! Jose Luis planned it after a relaxing day in a traditional Japanese hotel when woke up to see Mount Fuji at sunrise from the hot springs. At the top of a mountain next to a temple, Jose Luis asked the big question and of course Carla said yes. We celebrated with sake with our friends while Japanese women cheered us (that actually happened, it was perfect).

Schedule

The Ceremony

  • It will start at 13:00 with a civil ceremony, please be there 12:30. After that, there will be a cocktail hour while pictures are taken.

The Reception

  • The reception with the main meal will start around 15:30. It will be a (very late) Spanish lunch or an early Dutch dinner. Please don't forget to tell us if you have any dietary restrictions if you haven't already!

The Party

  • After eating, comes dancing! We'll be on the dance floor where you can expect dance music and a bit of bachata. The party will end at midnight because the venue will turn into a pumpkin.
